Udo Moll is living in Cologne/Germany and works as composer, trumpeter and sound artist. After having studied at the Music Conservatory in Cologne (Jazz trumpet with Manfred Schoof, Composition with Johannes Fritsch) he expanded his expertise in the fields of experimental contemporary music, improvisation, world music and transmedial sound art.

Concert tours and residencies brought him to a lot of places not only in Europe but around the world (USA, Chile, Japan, Korea, Mali, Sudan, Taiwan, Iran, Syria, Lebanon etc).

For some years Udo Moll has worked on the integration of computer-based processes into electro-acoustic live-performances. He regularly collaborates with video artists, actors and dancers. Recent intensive work includes live improvisation with modular synthesizers.

Composition residencies include Villa Aurora (Los Angeles) and Villa Kamogawa (Kyoto). He has composed radiophonic soundart pieces for Deutschlandfunk Kultur.
