Interested in a state of in-between, ambiguity and ambivalence, her works often take the hybrid form of installations, performances and recording release of electronic music, audio-visual, mixed media sculptures, and interface-instrument designs. Through processes of different digital makings and tangible practice, it is her attempt to continuously redefine and question the fluctuating existential qualities in today’s binary space and machine-quantified time. Her most recent research explores contingency space that emerges upon choosing non-linear expressions such as, turbulence, noise, and improvisation, as artistic methods. In these projects, she interfaces between physical space and experience space through immersive sound, lights, visuals, and air sculptures.

Mint Park's residency is kindly made possible by the Arts Council Korea, ARKO.
