Alex Barnett is an electronic musician from Chicago. He is best known for his work as a member of groups Barnett + Coloccia, Oakeater, and Champagne Mirrors. His solo work varies heavily in format from distorted drum machines and vocals to slowly evolving melodic soundscapes, but is always influenced 

heavily by cinema and its scores. Barnett also runs the record label SCRAPES RECORDINGS (US). Chew From the Mind, Alex's first full-length solo release, came out on Midwich in April 2016.
